(New York, NY – September 29, 2020) For centuries, the world has been full of gifted artists who love to create. The greater challenge has always been to earn a living from one’s art. Brooklyn fine art photographer John Mazlish understands this challenge firsthand, and in response has launched the Mazlish Gallery – a virtual art gallery that treats artists fairly and with the utmost respect for their creations. The Mazlish Gallery is now live at, and showcases the work of 10 dynamic artists – each personally selected by Mazlish.

The Mazlish Gallery is thrilled to announce its Inaugural Exhibition, a 5-day event of curated fine art, artist meet & greets, and creative multi-media events from Oct. 14th-19th. This 5-day exhibition will be held at One Art Space, located at 23 Warren St. in Tribeca, NYC. All events will be limited to a 20 person capacity, and masks will be required. For the complete schedule and details, CLICK HERE.

The Gallery’s Inaugural Exhibition will feature a group of seven talented artists whose work spans a diverse range of styles. They are CLoD (aka Claudia Echeveria), Aima Saint Hunon, Patrick Collins, Shawn Ehlers, Paddy Cohn, Andrew Cotton, and Mazlish himself.

Mazlish believes a key element that sets his gallery apart is that it is artist-owned and operated. His intention is to run a gallery that in his words “represents artists the way that I myself wish to be represented. That means with integrity, honesty, and genuine caring. Ours is a community of kindred spirits, and the goal is to support one another’s success, well-being, and creative/professional growth. The joy is in the journey.”

Another unique feature of the gallery is that it has partnered with Angelika Design Studio – a boutique interior design firm based in NYC- to offer optional installation and lighting assistance to clients. This additional service originates from the understanding that proper art placement and lighting is crucial to enjoying a work of art.

Mazlish gravitates towards artwork that exudes light, playfulness, color, and originality, noting that “the cliché of the tormented artist does not apply here. Rather, our artists work from love. If I could choose one word to characterize the art represented here, it would be ‘Heart.’”

The Conductor
New York-based artist Patrick Collins is both an accomplished musician and painter. His highly refined work reflects this multicultural upbringing and exposure to the great Masters of Art throughout history.

Shawn Ehlers is a former Ford/Elite model who lived and worked in Milan, Paris, and New York before getting behind the lens. Photographed by well-known photographers such as Helmut Newton, Olivero Toscani, and Albert Watson, her shift behind the camera was an easy transition. Also working as a celebrity shooter for Wireimage and Getty Images, some of her rosters include Lady Gaga, Meryl Streep, Jack Nicholson, Presidents Bush and Clinton, Susan Sarandon, and Whoopie Goldberg. As a fine artist, she won the prestigious gold award in 2015, Prix de la Photographie (PX3), for her series “Women as Birds.” She combines the medium of Polaroid photography with the ancient art of encaustic wax.
Dancing Heart
Aima opens up other horizons through her painting, launching her deep into her imagination- mixing gaiety, enthusiasm, and passion. Her unique and personal technique integrates different materials into the color of her paintings. Sand, wood, pigments, paper, and other substances uniting at the moment of creation captivate our attention, as do the flowing lines of her drawings. She creates solely through emotion, and direct experience of her environment influences her the most.

Paddy Cohn is an abstract artist whose sensuous, mysterious explorations into textures, layers, and distressed materials reflect a childhood spent in the landscapes of the Caribbean. After graduating from the FIT, Paddy spent a decade in New York City as a successful textile designer to return to her roots in St. Thomas in 1989. There, a passion was born for vibrant optics, distressed textures, and the forgotten elements of nature – from sand to mica to driftwood. Her work began with more literal renderings of the Caribbean landscape, expressed in seascape and portraiture. It evolved into the opulent color, mixed-media abstractions she is known for today. Paddy’s work has been collected, commissioned, and displayed in corporate and private collections from the Caribbean to New York to Europe.
Claudia Echeveria is a Venezuelan-born artist living in Miami, Florida. Known as CLoD in the art world, her colorful work is inspired by everyday life, people, relationships, and all that is truth. Often painting as a child, CLoD possessed a creative fire, but it wasn’t until she found herself in a dead-end corporate career that she took her love for art from hobby to a profession.
